Treehouse Play and Arts café, Newquay


A unique opportunity to come and learn a variety of creative writing and drawing techniques in a fun-packed workshop session with Illustrators Victoria Lucy Williams https://victorialucyillustration.com/about-2 and Sarah Batchelor. 


During the day we will be learning to plan and design our own ‘zines using object stories, observational drawing, blackout poetry, visual storytelling and character creation. 


No prior artistic experience necessary, just come along and have fun!

The day will incorporate a lunch break, Packed lunches are not permitted in the workshop room but attendees can enjoy a 10% discount on food purchases in Treehouse Cafe, and you may wish to order for your children on arrival to ensure a relaxing break.


The workshop is aimed at ages 6+, but may be suitable for younger children, parental discretion advised - please message on booking to discuss. 


We will be going down to the beach (whatever the weather!) to collect objects for observational drawing & as creative writing aids - please ensure children have sun hats/suncream/waterproof jackets/suitable shoes!


All workshop materials provided. 


All workshop leaders are DBS registered.


Parents/carers of children with additional needs are welcome to accompany children on the workshop at no extra cost.
